Thirty volunteers came together to staff this outstanding event for families that face unique challenges at Candlelight Ranch. Candlelight Ranch glistened with sparkling beauty, as families gathered together to enjoy a day of interactive nature and holiday programming. Families and children participated in movement exercises and games, made holiday ornaments, decorated cookies, engaged in equine assisted learning, visited the enchanting tree house, caroled together on a holiday hayride, and gobbled up scrumptious chili!
This was the fourth Family Day Candlelight Ranch hosted. With the first Candlelight Ranch Family Day held in March of 2015, Candlelight Ranch achieved its goal of hosting one of these free community events every season at the ranch. The feedback has been remarkable. One family explained it best as they profusely thanked staff and ranch horse Rusty, exclaiming, “This is the best day of our lives!” While another family member added, “Thank you for inviting us back to this beautiful place. Families like ours don’t have places like this where we can get outside, go have fun and just be ourselves. He (my son) gets to try so many new experiences.” This holiday season Candlelight Ranch is sharing the cheer and spreading their mission for all to hear! Happy Holidays, from Candlelight Ranch.
