Strength through Nature for Fostered and Adopted Kids

Zipping over the Canyon and through the woods….This summer we had the opportunity to introduce an amazing wilderness camp for children who are fostered and adopted. The unity that was established at this camp strengthened sibling bonds and introduced an extended family of friendships. The experiential learning from low ropes and the survival skills program brought in teaching moments to help navigate complicated puzzles, come together as a team, grow together in confidence and self-efficacy, and walk away with newfound inner strength. As the end of camp culminated with the high ropes challenge course, one camper exclaimed, “When there is so much excitement, there is no room for fear!”
