A licensed social worker, Tanya brings a passion for service and second chances to Candlelight Ranch as a board member where she encourages others to overcome barriers and “live life out loud.”

Tanya is currently the Family and Community Engagement Coordinator for Opportunities for Williamson and Burnet Counties, and has worked with children and families in many capacities for the last 30 years. She has directed non-profit grant funded programs, including children’s homes and family support programs, guided multiple families through the adoption process, and assisted youth in crisis when they were in need of specialized care. In addition to her professional experiences, Tanya has spent countless hours coaching youth sports and volunteering in community programs such as Discovery!, Bible Study Fellowship, Celebrate Recovery, and Austin Disaster Relief.

Tanya graduated from Abilene Christian University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. A native Texan, she enjoys gardening, traveling, and spending time in the great outdoors, and believes that nature is the both the best teacher and best healer. Tanya is married to Thomas, and is proud to be mom to Bailee, JT and William.
