Jennifer Emmons Blackman has experience working in multiple business sectors, which gives her an edge while collaborating with the diverse supporters, visitors, employees, and volunteers of Candlelight Ranch. The former Director of Development & Communications at Texas Advocacy Project, she has lent her skills to myriad nonprofits including the National Domestic Violence Hotline, The SAFE Alliance, and Thinkery. Prior to joining Candlelight’s Board of Directors, Jennifer co-chaired Dance for Candlelight 2018, the Ranch’s largest annual fundraiser, and is now chairing the 2019 extravaganza, Light A Path.
Jennifer completed her undergraduate studies at UCLA and earned her MBA from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, after which she held leadership roles in marketing, sales, operations, and education. After working in businesses large and small, Jennifer is delighted to use her extensive experience to promote an organization which sparks joy and does so much good for the people of Central Texas.
