Taylor always knew she wanted to empower others through providing therapeutic services. She found the Therapeutic Recreation major during her first year of college at Brigham Young University Idaho and knew it was exactly what she was looking for. Taylor is about to graduate in July 2023 with a BS in Therapeutic Recreation with an emphasis in youth/correctional & mental health. She plans to take the NCTRC exam at the end of July after completing her internship with Candlelight Ranch, which will officially make her a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

Taylor has always loved the outdoors and realized its healing abilities while working for the Anasazi Foundation in Mesa Arizona where at-risk youth are served through wilderness behavioral therapy. While there, she learned wilderness survival skills such as how to create primitive fire! While at BYU-Idaho, she worked for the Thrive program for two years where she was a facilitator for the mental health programs. She taught coping skills to increase emotional and mental wellbeing.

Taylor loves helping others and using nature to do it.
