Adrian’s passion for outdoor recreation began while she was on summer staff at Camp Barnabas, a camp for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. During her summers there she worked on the ropes course, led camping trips, and served as a lifeguard. After her summers at this camp, Adrian decided that was the type of work she wanted to do for the rest of her life! After some research she became interested in becoming a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS).
Adrian received her BS in Child Professional Studies at Texas A&M and her MS of Therapeutic Recreation from Texas State. Adrian completed her CTRS internship at Candlelight Ranch during the Spring of 2021 and fell in love with the mission of Candlelight Ranch and was given the wonderful opportunity to be hired on as full-time staff in May of 2021!!
In her free time, you can find Adrian playing with her two puppies, kayaking, hiking, or cooking new meals!
