Candlelight Ranch is proud of the partnerships we have established to expand and enhance our nature programming for children and families. Our partners provide volunteers, master naturalists and programs that are interactive, fun and educational.

The fabulous volunteers from the Upper Highland Lakes Nature Center join us at most of our Family Days and Military Family Days. They bring a passion for nature and a wealth of knowledge with them to the ranch. Upper Highland Lakes volunteers help us facilitate Backyard Bass, touch tables and more. Through a formal partnership with the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge, we have increased children and families access to national wildlife areas. In addition, Balcones National Wildlife Refuge staff visit the ranch and teach participants about native birds, macroinvertabrates and pollution in our water systems. Friends Flying for Earth educates participants about exotic birds while allowing them to have a hands on experience with birds from all over the world. In addition, Friends Flying for Earth helps teach children and families about the effects of pollution and ways we can reduce our footprint for future generations. Our programs are also supported by Young Men’s Service League and National Charity League volunteer teams.

In addition to working with other nature based organizations, Candlelight Ranch partners with local nonprofit organization, schools, community groups and government agencies through our Children in Nature Program. Below is a list of some of the groups Candlelight Ranch works with.
