Matt joined the Candlelight Ranch Advisory Council in 2026. For more than 15 years, Matt has served on the Board of Dallas Services, which is a 501(c)(3) that provides resources to children with low-vision throughout North Texas. Additionally, Matt served on the Board of Camp John Marc in Meridian, TX for several years. Camp John Marc provides camping programs for children, teens, and families with disabilities.
Matt works for Walker & Dunlop, with more than two decades of experience in commercial real estate lending. Matt specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and bridge loan executions.
Matt is married to Stephanie Cooper, current Candlelight Ranch Board member and daughter of CLR co-founders, Don and Jeri Barr. A Texas native, Matt earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in 2003.
