Tom has been involved with Candlelight Ranch since the beginning 20 years ago. His much-loved sister, Jeri, was one of the founders along with Don and Randy Barr. Tom joined the Candlelight Ranch Advisory Council in 2013. Tom’s previous non-profit experience was with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, where he was president from 1996 to 1998.
In 2005, Tom founded ContactWorks, a Texas-based contact center outsourcing business. As the CEO of ContactWorks, he oversees their wide range of contact center solutions. ContactWorks provides technical support for Candlelight Ranch’s email and website operations.
Tom has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas in Austin, and spend the first 19 years of his career at IBM, followed by executive management positions in small to mid-size businesses. Prior to founding ContactWorks, Tom was the VP of Operations at Spherion’s Contact Center Solutions for 7 years, where he oversaw operations with 2800 employees in 10 US contact centers and 4 international centers.
