Dr. William Fisher came to Candlelight Ranch as a volunteer and fell in love with the mission
and this beautiful ranch. Dr. Fisher holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Baylor
University, a MA in Health Psychology and BA in Psychology from Texas State University. As part
of his training, he completed a neuropsychological clinical practicum at a residential treatment
center in Liberty Hill, Texas specializing in the treatment of pathologically violent juveniles. He
also completed a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship in Women’s
Biobehavioral Medicine through the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Fisher engaged in industry
after his work in academia, serving as a Senior Research Analyst at a cybersecurity analyst firm
in Austin, Texas, then leading the Cybersecurity Research and Development Team at Charles
Schwab, Inc. He is presently engaged at Schwab as the Senior Manager of Innovation Strategy.
Dr. Fisher served in the US Navy aboard the USS Carl Vinson, a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier,
during Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and is a Co-Chair of the Military Veterans Employee
Resource Group at Schwab. When not at work or serving in various organizations, committees,
or Masonic lodges, Dr. Fisher loves spending time with his wonderful wife, Jennifer, brilliant and
hilarious daughter Isabel, goofy black labrador retriever, Sam, and two very spoiled cats, Lucky
& Luna. He is proud to join the incredible people that serve Candlelight Ranch in making a
positive impact for kids, veterans, families, and the community.
