Fall at the Ranch

November 15, 2021

We have had a busy fall serving our children, families, and volunteers while soaking in the magic of the Ranch and enjoying the cooler weather. Our Fall season kicked off to a wonderful start with local non-profit partners visiting for family days, overnight camping experiences and staff retreats. Among a few local Travis and Williamson County based non-profits that have visited the Ranch earlier this season have included CC4C for a Sibling Adventure Day, Life Changers and Hope House for day camps, Changing Lives for an overnight retreat, and Arc of the Capital for both a Family Day and Staff Retreat.

Looking ahead, we will welcome Dell Children’s Hospital’s Camp in Motion, Burnet County special needs community, and school groups including Round Rock ISD’s VISTA Program and Marble Falls ISD Elementary Life Skills classrooms. The fall season has also brought together many families to bond in the outdoors with our monthly Military Family Days, Family Fall Festivals, and Candlelight Ranch Family Days! In addition, our community-based program Outdoor Explorer’s has seen a busy fall with four separate classes taking place both weekly, bi-weekly and monthly. Outdoor Explorers serves students from Round Rock ISD, Citizens from the Arc of the Capital at both their Grover location and satellite site at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, and our own Candlelight Ranch Explorers. We will end our 2021 year with our Military Family and Candlelight Ranch Family Holiday Parties where we will spread some holiday magic and cheer.

Happy Fall y’all!
