Give Hope From Home: The Hart Family

November 30, 2020

The Hart Family found Candlelight Ranch through Austin Angels,  a community-based organization providing resources for foster and adopted families. Their visit sparked pure curiosity in their oldest son, Ford. Captivated by nature and science he experienced nature up close at the Ranch throughout his day of adventure. A shell and a butterfly wing took hold of his imagination the most. So much so that he brought these items back home to study and then to school to show his teachers and classmates! Ford’s mother, Ruthie, reflected on their experience after returning home from the Ranch: “I just wanted to tell you how GRATEFUL we are to have spent the day at Candlelight Ranch yesterday. It was one of the best days of 2020 for our entire family. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the day in nature as a family. The kids have been excited all morning to tell their classmates about their adventures. Thank you for all that you are doing. We can’t wait to comeback!”

Ruthie and her children will be returning to the Ranch with a couple of close friends and neighbors, as they celebrate the holiday season together for a day of adventure and joy in the outdoors. In a time when it is so difficult to feel safe, we are fortunate to be able to not only share the healing power of nature, but to provide a safe space for friends, neighbors and loved ones to be together for the Holidays.

You can gift the gift of Hope today to families just like the Hart Family.  Please consider donating here now to help us reach our $15,000 goal by December 31, 2020.
