Paralyzed Veterans of America – Texas Chapter Sponsors Military Family Days

On March 20th, Military and Veteran Families from across Central Texas visited Candlelight Ranch for our monthly Military Family Day. Thanks to the sponsorship from the Paralyzed Veterans of America – Texas Chapter, families were able to participate in a fun filled day of bonding in nature. Children and parents took respite in nature together by learning to fish, exploring Lake Travis by kayaking, practicing archery, relaxing in our treehouse, and flying on our ziplines.  As one mother reflected while watching her son fish for the first time, “This is something we’ve always wanted to do but just didn’t know where to begin.”

For two of our families, this was their last opportunity to spend meaningful time together before their next postings on opposite ends of the country. Our Military Family days continue to spark connections, healing, and memories.  Thank you, Paralyzed Veterans of America – Texas Chapter, for making this day of joy possible!
