We are embarking on an exciting new project and requesting your support in order to accomplish our goal!
Candlelight Ranch has continued to successfully expand our services and outdoor programming to the central Texas community. Our only air-conditioned space at the ranch is the small, original homestead, the Fisher Cabin. With the increased demands on our programs and year-round visits from the groups we serve, we desperately need more indoor space to serve our clients, serve as staff offices, and to provide a very important cooling zone for children in the hot summer months. Our Board of Directors has recently approved the building of a new multi-purpose metal structure that will feature bunk rooms, private meeting rooms, staff offices, and a large multi-functional space for learning, games, and collaboration – and cooling off in the hot summer months.
The Hideaway is a unique 1500 square foot metal building on a concrete slab featuring:
- multipurpose education space that will enhance learning, collaboration, and fun.
- A climate-controlled space where campers can learn about nature while catching a break from the summer heat
- Two additional bunk rooms for guests and interns
- A centralized office location for staff and volunteers to collaborate and meet
- Increased opportunities to serve children with special or complex medical needs during inclement weather.
- 12×30 covered porch for relaxing and enjoying nature
