Joseph’s passion for regenerative agriculture began while working in the cotton fields at Texas A&M, where he collected data and saw firsthand the challenges that come with traditional farming practices. Having moved around a lot growing up, Joey was exposed to many different landscapes and plants. Over time, he became drawn to regenerative agriculture as a way to care for the environment while creating healthier systems for people and nature alike.

Joseph earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Systems Management from Texas A&M University and later interned in Belgium, where he studied pollution and its impact on agriculture. Both experiences gave him a broader perspective on how land is managed across different places and cultures.

Joseph serves as the Volunteer and Program Coordinator at Candlelight Ranch, where he is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the natural beauty of the ranch while supporting the organization’s mission. He values the opportunity to connect people with the outdoors and believes that spending time in nature can inspire care and respect for the land.

When he’s not at Candlelight Ranch, Joey enjoys gardening, working on building projects and hiking.
